Real Food, Ready When the Road Calls

Hot meals served all day, every day at North Las Vegas's go-to roadside restaurant.

About Us

Some restaurants make you wait. Iron Skillet on North Hollywood Boulevard operates on a different clock entirely, doors open at 6:00 AM and the kitchen keeps firing until 9:00 PM, seven days a week. That kind of consistency matters when hunger doesn't care what day it is or how far you've driven.

The dining room draws a cross-section of Las Vegas that the Strip never sees: long-haul drivers logging miles, families making a pit stop, and locals from the 89115 corridor who know a reliable meal when they find one. With nearly 1,400 reviews and a steady 3.9-star rating, this isn't a place that coasts on novelty. People come back because the food delivers what they came for.

Breakfast is where Iron Skillet earns its name. Morning plates arrive hot and generous, the kind that set you up for a long day rather than leaving you hunting for a snack an hour later. The staff here runs a tight ship, and even when the floor gets busy, the pace stays steady.

What We Offer

Iron Skillet serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner under one roof, with hours that respect the reality of travel and irregular schedules. Morning service kicks off at 6:00 AM, making it one of the earlier kitchens open in this stretch of North Las Vegas.

The menu covers the familiar territory that road-weary appetites crave: hearty breakfast plates, satisfying lunch options, and dinner that doesn't require a reservation or a dress code. Portions are built for people who have somewhere to be and need fuel, not just flavor. The dining room is accessible directly from the travel plaza, so whether you're stretching your legs or settling in for a full sit-down meal, the transition is easy.

Service is straightforward and honest. The team here takes the job seriously, and guests consistently note that even solo staff members manage the floor with focus and care. That kind of work ethic shows up on the plate.

"The food here is fine, fairly average but about what you'd expect for a restaurant next to a gas station. Would only stop here if you're hungry and don't mind too much eating basic food"

"Had a nice meal here. I had the traditional breakfast which came with Text and toast and was really delicious and the service was fantastic because the lady was on her own and she does really well just to get all of the orders on time. And she even brought Rush her order so we can have it to go faster thank you for that."

"It's been ~6+ years since my family and I ate at this restaurant - I used to eat here a lot when I worked on this side of the city. In fact, it's been so long that I decided to bring my family, along with a couple out-of-town friends to this restaurant on 16 May 2024 to experience their buffet for all time's sake. Needless to say, I should've called before arriving because as soon as I walked in, I noticed that they no longer have the buffet - my jaw hit the ground in shock and disappointment after I realized this. Regardless, I didn't want to leave since our friends were already en route and I figured why not try their table service since that part of the experience is new to us. Throughout the evening we had two servers; Amy was the first, and then it transitioned to another server (Breanna, I think). Both servers did a remarkable job all night; they were highly efficient at what they did and extremely professional/friendly. The atmosphere was the typical truck stop in the evening; however, it was a little quieter than expected. Between EDC going on and the time of the day, that's probably the contributing factor to the limited customers. I suspect that during breakfast and lunch timeframes, this restaurant has a high volume of foot traffic. Between everyone at the table, we ordered Ultimate Nachos and Chicken Quesadilla for our starters; Grilled Chicken Sandwich w/side of Tomato Soup and Broccoli; Southwest Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich w/Cheesy Potato Casserole; White Fish Dinner w/Rice Pilaf, Broccoli, and side of Onion Rings; and Chef Salad for our main entrées. Everything was decent; the star entées/items were the Chef Salad, Chicken Quesadilla, Onion Rings, and Ultimate Nachos. Whereas the broccoli was less than adequate because it was extremely soft (had a soggy texture/consistency). This was unfortunate because my daughter and I were looking forward to eating a bright green (slightly crunchy) broccoli as depicted on the menu picture(s). Overall, I'd say this restaurant is ok, as reflected in the 3-star rating. I know some may disagree but I felt the buffet experiences at Iron Skillet were far more memorable compared to the sit down table service - dang you 2020 global event! The price-to-quantity/quality ratio was reasonable and as mentioned earlier, the service was the highlight of my recent visit. I'm not sure if I would ever return in the future because I mostly ate here due to the buffet; however, I will still recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through and want a decent bite to eat."
